The tax, business, and estate planning law firm of Williams Coulson Johnson Lloyd Parker & Tedesco, LLC was founded in November 1995.

The attorneys of Williams Coulson primarily represent clients by providing counsel on estate, tax, retirement, and business planning matters. Williams Coulson believes that tax and business planning for the closely-held business, family group, executive, and professional is best done by a firm specially designed for that purpose.

Manifesting its commitment to family business succession issues, Williams Coulson is the law firm sponsor of the Family Enterprise Center of the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and the Center for Family Business of the Eberle School of Business at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Leading the firm is Robert B. Williams, who has over 30 years of experience of providing sophisticated business, tax and employee benefit planning for large and small businesses as well as estate, tax and retirement planning for individuals. Mr. Williams is a founder of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Family Firm Institute, an inter-disciplinary organization that serves family businesses. In addition, Mr. Williams is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, an Accredited Estate Planner as recognized by the National Association of Estate Planning Councils and has been listed for many years in "The Best Lawyers in America."

Also joining Robert Williams are partners Mark C. Coulson, Daniel P. Johnson, Michael E. Lloyd, Raymond P. Parker, Anthony M. Tedesco, Mary Jo Corsetti, Robert G. Stash, Edward P. In January 1999, Williams Coulson was the only Pittsburgh firm presented the "Quality of Life Award" by the Allegheny County Bar Association. The purpose of this award is to honor organizations that create and foster practice environments for positive quality of life and professionalism for attorneys. Particular emphasis in this award was placed on the firm’s atmosphere of mutual respect and concern for the members and staff; emphasizing positive attitude rather than negative attitude in firm matters; and understanding and accommodating the personal lives of the members and staff.
