Sarah D. Blask, an associate at Williams Coulson, concentrates her practice on the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, estate and trust litigation, and business succession planning. Sarah assists individuals and families in identifying their long-term estate, gifting and business planning goals and counsels them on tax planning strategies to achieve these goals. She also assists individual and corporate fiduciaries in the administration of estates and trusts, and works with both fiduciaries and beneficiaries in contested matters.
Prior to joining Williams Coulson, Sarah was an associate in the New York office of Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland and Perretti, LLP. While at Riker Danzig, Sarah gained invaluable experience in the use of sophisticated tax savings strategies for high net worth individuals, particularly for younger clients with growing wealth. She managed the firm's estate administration and litigation matters in New York Surrogate's Court. Sarah had the opportunity to work closely with fiduciary accountants on a gift tax audit related to overseas transactions. Sarah also gained experience in land use matters, and appeared before the New York Zoning Review Board and New York Board of Standards and Appeals. She was an integral member of the team that successfully fought a zoning appeal brought in upstate New York against a large national corporation.
Sarah received her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was a student contributor to the New York Real Estate Reporter. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Syracuse University. Sarah is a member of the American Bar Association and several state and local bar associations.
