Douglas C. Loviscky is Of Counsel to the Firm.
Mr. Loviscky is both an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University, he earned his CPA license as an associate in the Tax and Audit departments of Price Waterhouse. Mr. Loviscky went on to graduate cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he received the Pittsburgh Tax Club Memorial Prize for excellence in course work in federal taxation and the David R. Bookstaver Award for excellence in course work in wills, trusts and estates. He was also business editor of the Journal of Law and Commerce.
Mr. Loviscky was an associate attorney with Williams Coulson until 2000, when he departed to become a financial planner with a fee-based financial planning firm and start his own law firm in State College, PA. As a financial planner, he obtained his Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses and an Accident and Health, Life and Fixed Annuities insurance license. In 2002, Mr. Loviscky left the financial planning firm to focus his efforts on his own law firm, which provides estate, tax and business planning advice to closely-held businesses and their owners throughout central Pennsylvania.
Mr. Loviscky is a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Centre County Bar Association. He has also been selected for membership in Leadership Centre County, Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the East.
Williams Coulson is a Pittsburgh-based firm which concentrates its practice in estate, business, tax, corporate, and retirement planning services.
