The Employee Benefits Practice Group regularly assists in the design, drafting and implementation of welfare benefit programs. We have experience with a wide range of welfare benefit plans including Cafeteria Plans, Wrap Plans, Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Reimbursement Accounts, Transportation Spending Account Plans, Premium Only Plans and VEBAs. We also have significant experience in terminating and unwinding welfare benefit plans and VEBAs that no longer serve their intended purpose. Our experience includes working with clients whose outside plans have been found abusive by the IRS, including Section 419 and Section 79 Plans. The Group also has represented clients with respect to Department of Labor investigations of welfare benefit plans.
